Urban RCH Centre
GVSS is running Urban RCH centre in Sursagar of Jodhpur district in association with Directorate, Medical, Health & Family Welfare and CMHO Jodhpur
Target & Objectives:
- Improving health of urban poor populaces by providing qualitative health care services
Nature of services: Pre Natal Care
- Urine test, Blood test, Vaccination, Distribution of IFA tablets, Measuring weight, Measuring blood-pressure, Identifying the child’s position in womb, Identifying the sign of danger, offering services & referral services for Institutional deliveries.
- Referral services for Institutional deliveries & Post-natal care
- Health services & vaccination for new born child
- Providing health care services such as – DOTS, Malaria eradication etc. under National Programme
- Promoting Family planning instruments i.e. Nirodh, Mala-D, and Copper – T etc.
- Treatment of small diseases like - Reproductive & Sexually transmitted diseases
- Providing health services through trained nurses & volunteers
- Collecting Safety instruments from government led medical stores like – Nirodh & Mala-D
- Referring to nearby Health centre for health care
Target Group: Poor & lower sections
- Out of reach & migrant populaces
- Scarcity & less reach of economic resources
- Residing in temporary shelters/homes
- Working in under-construction units
- Falling under BPL category
