Area Introducation

Rajasthan is the biggest state in view of the land area confined to it. At present the condition of the society is deeply affected due to the peculiar geographical condition of desert which includes lessening of forest desert expansion, extinction races of forest, vanishing medicinal plants and ignorance towards environment has caused deficiency in the resources of basic requirements. There are less rain in the region and the temperature heats up to 49 Celsius in summer.

  • Fewer rains, heating temperature heats up to 49 Celsius in summer and dust storms are the main features of this region. People live in small villages in the remote areas, where women education; women health and drinking water.
  • The residents of this area are unable to avail the facilities provided by Govt. and the other resources, due to lack of information, awareness and improper Govt. arrangements. Normally out of every five years this area suffers from famine for three years.
  • Schedule caste schedule tribal and other backward class people have to work very hard most of them migrate for livelihood. Income from agriculture is not sufficient for livelihood due to the sole dependence on rain water farming.
  • 60 percent of the lower class is burdened with debts. Due to the bad social custom, liquor death feast conventionery attitude and superstitions. Parents involve their children in many generating works so as to clear off debts. People are completely unaware of living a quality life consequently Govt. mechanism at local level, education, health centre, Post office, Telephone office water supply dept. Does not function properly, therefore, people have to face various problems. Due to the lack of permanent sources of income, parents allow their children to work with the risk of involved activities for better earnings which could enable the family to earn livelihood. 60% of the SC, ST, class people are working in stone mines consequently at the age of 40 they start suffering from the diseases like –Asthma, T.B. etc. According to a survey, normally the food intake of a child is 600 -700 calories less than the required one.
